On ne s’y attendait pas, mais il est là, en majesté. Au bout de la rue principale de la dernière ville d’Iran, juste avant la douane, il nous attendait. On l’avait à peine aperçu en sortant d’Erevan, la capitale arménienne, dans la brume de chaleur du mois d’août. Le mont Ararat, symbole de l’Arménie occupée, est couvert de neige, comme un Fuji Yama local. La boucle est bouclée et il est temps pour les cigognes de rentrer à la maison.

We did not expect it, but it is there, in majesty. At the end of the main street of the last city of Iran, just before the customs, it was waiting for us. We had barely  seen it when coming out of Yerevan, the Armenian capital, in the heat haze of August. Mount Ararat, symbol of occupied Armenia, is covered with snow, like a local Fuji Yama. The loop is complete and it is time for the storks to go home.

Ca y est. On est donc à la frontière turque ! Après deux jours à Qazvin et un dernier repas « en famille », on a pris la route de Limoges.

That’s it. We are at the Turkish border ! After two days in Qazvin and a last « family » meal « , we took the road to Limoges.

Hier soir on dormait à Tabriz et ce soir on est à Bazargan, avec devant nous l’immense Turquie à traverser.

Fin d’un tour de Perse qui aura duré deux mois. Assez pour prendre plein les yeux et plein la tête et pour repartir avec plein de questions sur ce pays si attachant. Il faudra un peu de temps pour décanter tout cela.

Last night we were sleeping in Tabriz and tonight we are in Bazargan, with the huge Turkey in front of us. End of a tour of Persia that lasted two months. Enough to fill our eyes and head s and to leave with many questions about this country so endearing. It will take a little time to decant all this.

Mais les peupliers d’Iran jaunissent et nous rappellent que notre visa vient à expiration. Demain, bonjour la Turquie !

But the poplars of Iran are turning yellow and remind us that our visa is about to expire. Tomorrow, hello Turkey!
