Après quatre jours de bivouacs au Kosovo, nous avons passé huit jours de camping entre Monténégro et Bosnie. Tout d’abord au camping Eco Oaza à Dobrinovina (N43.0178 E 19.40936, 13€) chez une famille adorable, au dessus de la Tara, puis au camping Ivan Do à Zabljak (N 43.918137 E19.586418, 10 €)  au pied des sommets du Durmitor et enfin au camping Drina (N43.52948 E18.78254, 16,50 €) à Foca en Bosnie.

After four days of wild camping in Kosovo, we spent eight days in campsites between Montenegro and Bosnia. First at camping Eco Oaza to Dobrinovina ( N43.0178 E 19.40936 , € 13) with a lovely family, above the river Tara, then at Autocamp Ivan Do in Zabljak (N 43.918137 E19.586418 , € 10) at the foot of the Durmitor peaks, and finally at Autocamp Drina ( N43.52948 E18.78254 , € 16.50 ) in Foca in Bosnia.

La rivière Tara coule au fond du plus profond canyon d’Europe, dans les montagnes  du  Monténégro. C’est le paradis du rafting, mais très dangereux en cette saison avec la fonte des neiges. Pour nous cela  a été plutôt balades et lectures au soleil. Lectures qui, ceci dit en passant, nous ont permis d’avoir une vision un peu moins  idyllique du Kosovo, et notamment de Hashim Thaçi, leader de l’UCK, criminel de guerre, premier ministre de 2008 à 2014  et président du pays depuis avril 2016.

The river Tara flows at the bottom of the deepest canyon in Europe, in the mountains of Montenegro. It’s paradise for rafting, but very dangerous in this season. For us it was rather hikes and reading in the sun. By the way, trrough new reeadings, we were able to get a  little less idyllic vision Kosovo, and particularly of Hashim Thaci , leader of the KLA war criminal, Prime Minister from 2008 to 2014 and President of the country since April 2016

 

  

Le parc national du Durmitor occupe le coin nord ouest du pays, à la frontière de la Bosnie et de la Serbie. On y monte en suivant le canyon de la Tara. Se réveiller avec ses sommets devant le pare brise est un bonheur, avant un tour du lac noir, ainsi appelé à cause du reflet des sapins dans ses eaux.

Durmitor National Park occupies the northwest corner of the country, on the border of Bosnia and Serbia . We got here by following the canyon.. Waking up with its peaks before the windshield is a joy, before going for a hike around the Black Lake , so called because of the reflection of the pines in its waters.

Pour rejoindre la Bosnie, on est passé par une petite route de montagne à travers des paysages d’alpages désertiques à perte de vue, avant d’entamer une descente vertigineuse à travers des dizaines de tunnels vers un lac de barrage qui canalise la Tara avant qu’elle ne se jette dans la Drina en Bosnie. Un bon moment d’adrénaline (pour Daniel) et d’euphorie (pour Chon), et sous la pluie ! Un parcours fantastique; que nous recommandons fortement !

To join Bosnia, we went through a small mountain road through landscapes of desert pastures, before beginning a steep descent through dozens of tunnels into a reservoir filled  by the Tara before flowing into the Drina in Bosnia. A good moment of adrenaline (for Daniel) and euphoria (for Chon ), under the rain ! A fantastic route which we highly recommend !

  

Après la frontière bosnienne, La Drina prend le relais de la Tara. C’est une rivière énorme, puissante, en cette saison, vert émeraude, en route vers Visegrad, et le fameux pont du roman d’Ivo Andric. Hier soir nous l’avons découverte dans la brume, au camping Drina, avant quatre excellentes truites au feu de bois, préparées par le patron du camping -randonneur lui-même et excellent photographe- accompagnées d’un petit vin blanc local, avant le slivovich maison.

After the Bosnian border, the river Drina takes over. This is a huge, powerful river in this season, emerald green, en route to Visegrad and the famous bridge of  Ivo Andric’s novel. Last night we discovered it in the mist, at Camping Drina, before four excellent trouts grilled on a wood fire, prepared by the owner of the campsite -hiker himself and great photographer- ,accompanied by a local white wine before the homemade slivovich.

 

Ce matin, nous sommes donc en Republica Srpska, l’entité serbe de Bosnie, au bord de cette rivière majestueuse. Le temps est à nouveau au beau.

So, this morning, we are in Republica Srpska, the serbian entity in Bosnia, along this awesome river. The sun is shining again.
